Project 52 – Week 3: The Road Ahead
January 24, 2010
Don’t say I’m not dedicated to this project. I’m falling asleep at my computer at the good old time of 10 p.m. after a long day riding and swimming. I’m burnt as hell and suffering but still posting my photo! Haha. Seriously ya’ll, got sun exposure, use sunblock. As high SPF as you can get. You won’t regret it.
This week’s photo is something close to my heart, riding and the metaphors that come with it. I find that a lot of lessons I learn on the bike reflect how I grow in life. Also it lets me do stuff like meet new people, see cool places and challenge myself all the damn time. The photo is from today’s ride in Malaysia, we bumboated up to Pengarang and rode to Sungei Rengit and back. On the way back, we found a rickety, half broken down jetty and what do we do? We go on it to take photos. It was fun, although a bit scary since the whole thing just didn’t make sense to my head and I was afraid my arms and legs would decide to stop listening to my brain and end with me falling in the water, Amelie, camera and all.

I took this on my Panasonic Lumix, another point and shoot I have. Its not too terrific, but I found that when I set it on simple mode, it takes photos that are almost on par with my old point and shoot. That’s saying a heck lot. This was after I finally made it across all those rickety planks without falling into the water and was gonna head back. Yayness!

I know exactly where that jetty is; I don’t know whether that makes it funny, scary, or sad. Oh well.
Yesterday was a scorcher. We were at Poison Ivy’s @ Lim Chu Kang and we bailed at 12:50 PM. You guys are insane. But insane is good. Insane is interesting. Stay interesting

Haha, it just means too many people ride there. =D Everyone is insane, I loved the ride, I’m going back for more when the sunburn heals and I get sunblock.
