Half the Sky Foundation works to provide care, support and love for orphaned children in China. They have five simply AWESOME programs to meet the needs of various groups of children in institutions – The Baby Sisters Infant Nurture Program, The Little Sisters Pre-School Program, The Big Sisters Program, The Family Village Program and The China Care Program. For children who can’t be adopted for one reason or another, these programs provide the closest thing to a loving, supportive family. Simply feeding, clothing and housing a child is not enough to prepare him/her to enter the world, they need love to grow and develop as well. Half the Sky Foundation works very hard to ensure that children who have lost their families receive not only the basic needs to survive but also receive love and care that will nurture them as they grow up.

Currently, I volunteer as a report editor with HTS. Caregivers to children write reports on their charges which are then translated. The editors go on to clean up the reports which are then sent to sponsors of these children so that sponsors can see how the child is progressing. You can help by sponsoring a child, volunteering with HTS, making a donation, or just helping to raise awareness about what HTS does for these children.
